God holds no grudges toward me
How many people do you suppose are angry with you right now? I try to live in peace with people as best as I can, but I’d guess there are probably a half dozen people who would like to hurt me if they could.
What a relief it is to know that God holds no grudges toward me, even though I deserve his anger. In the Bible, the prophet Jeremiah says, “Because of the LORD’s great love we are not consumed, for his compassions never fail. They are new every morning” (Lamentations 3:22,23).
Aren’t you glad that you’re forgiven through Jesus? Aren’t you glad that God does not keep records of your wrongdoings? Aren’t you glad that you can start out each day anew, celebrating the Lord’s compassion instead of being afraid of him? Life with God is good!
