PRAYER: Lord-God, you created the heavens and the earth. You created every creature that walks amongst us and you breathed your breath of life into us. Thank you, God, for creating a day just for us to rest. Help us to honor you and your great works, by honoring your command to rest. As we scurry about our busy days, remind us, O God, to rest in the knowledge that you are above all and everything. Remind us to stop and take the time to commune with you. Amen!
