Luke: A 10-Day Devotional Reading PlanExemplo

The Compassionate Savior
Jesus has a tender heart for women. We see it in his compassion for the lonely and hurting and in how he befriends women and dignifies their personhood. Something else we see, as Jesus travels around the region of Galilee, is how much he values humility and love. In fact, he so clearly wants the hearts of people even more than their good deeds. This week John the Baptist comes back into the story again, but on a somber note because he’s struggling with doubt. But as we’ll see, Jesus is able to overcome anyone’s doubts.
Reflection:
No doubt shocking some, Jesus redefined family in 8:19–21. Of course, he loves and values family and calls us to cherish our relatives. At the same time, his remarks here show us how we are to prioritize our relationships. How has your commitment to Christ changed how you define family and relate to family members—both spiritual and biological?
Sobre este Plano

Over the course of 10-days, read the book of Luke alongside passages and questions from Lydia Brownback, and see how the Gospel of Luke presents Jesus as the promised King of kings, showcasing how Jesus’s earthly ministry is good news to the downtrodden, the hurting, and the outsider.
