The Heart Attitudes: Part 3Exemplo

Heart Attitude #2 – Live an honest, open life before others.
Ephesians 4:25
Since you put away lying, Speak the truth, each one to his neighbor, because we are members of one another.
Truth is something that is often misunderstood in this generation. When people say “My Truth” or “Your Truth” they assert that all opinions are equally valid. However, that is not accurate. The “Truth” is what conforms to fact or reality, not my opinion about it.
Living an honest, open life before others requires us to be able to both know the truth and speak the truth about ourselves and our life. This week, we will explore what that means and how it can be a way to free us to live authentically.
The toughest person to not lie to is often ourselves. We need to commit to being brutally honest with ourselves. That means recognizing both our failures and our successes. It also means not exaggerating either of them.
God loves you just as you are. You are not a disappointment to Him. You do not have to impress Him with your ability, or even your desire to follow Him.
Take some time today to honestly evaluate your life. What are the areas where you tend to oversell or undervalue your life?
