Sometimes we just need to be reminded that this world is not our home. When troubles come, when disaster strikes, and we feel the heartache of a broken, sin-filled world, we need to remember this world is not our home. When we feel out of place, it’s okay. We have the hope of heaven in our hearts; that a better tomorrow is coming. For now we are in the waiting, but it won’t last forever. The best is yet to come.

Without Jesus there is no salvation, and therefore no lasting joy. Without Jesus there is no way to overcome our circumstances, to love people who are hard to love, to reconcile, to forgive, and to live godly lives.
