Return & Realign: A Journey of Renewal for the Creative Soulਨਮੂਨਾ

DAY 3 Purifying Motives
Scripture: Psalm 139:23–24
Devotional:
Creativity is deeply connected to motive. We create from our hearts, and our hearts are complex places. Sometimes we create to serve. Sometimes to be seen. Sometimes, to prove ourselves. Sometimes to hide. Lent gives us space to examine what drives us.
David’s prayer, “Search me, God,” is not a fearful request; it is an invitation for God to reveal what we cannot see. When we ask God to purify our motives, we are not asking Him to shame us but to free us.
Pure motives do not mean perfect motives. They mean honest motives. They mean allowing God to sift through our desires and align them with His heart. When our motives are purified, our creativity becomes lighter, freer, and more joyful.
God is not looking for flawless creators. He is looking for willing hearts, hearts that desire to honour Him, love others, and create from a place of truth.
Reflection:
What motives might God be inviting me to bring into the light?
Prayer:
Search me, God. Reveal what needs to be purified and lead me in Your way.
