Cold Nights

So, one of my wishes in life is to be an entrepreneur. Back in 2021, God answered that prayer, and that was the beginning. I was so excited.

How the beginning started was a little bit unexpected, or should I say, not as I imagined it would start. You know, I was hoping some investors would come to me and say things like “God told me to give you this money,” but hey! It was not like that.

I was laid off from my job, and my wife was pregnant with our 2nd child at that time.

I was not sad or angry at all, rather a much relieved feeling because it was a “green light” kind of moment at the Red Sea for me. Before that, God had been speaking to me through that parable for some time. It felt spiritually profound, and I could resonate that it was God who opened the door because nobody else knew, besides my wife.

Days passed, and things started to go south in late 2023 to 2024. I didn’t realize that I was chasing the promise more rather than The One who gave it - God, because of that, it started to feel heavy, shaky, and cold nights passed. I was unsure about the next day, and I started to question myself and God: “God, is this you? I thought you should provide, but this is heavy and dry.”

The struggle was real, and I thought I was done.

One day, God gave me a revelation about Moses & the Israelites in the wilderness after they crossed the Red Sea. I didn’t realize that God was bringing me into the wilderness where He didn’t leave me but provided and protected us. His Grace was sufficient as I battled anxiety and mental loss. He gave me manna - something that I never knew I could do or have to journey through the days.

Thank you, Jesus, for today.
Thank you that you have been faithful in our lives.
Unsure about what tomorrow holds, but I know you never turn your back on us.
Show us the path and give us the strength to carry on. We believe we will see your hands this season. You are worthy of it all.
