• In verses 1-10, what are the dangers listed about committing adultery, and how do these dangers also apply to the temptations of all kinds of sexual immorality?
• In verses 11-14, what regret would the son have if he committed adultery?
• How did the father redirect his son, and what marital advice did he give?
• In verses 21-23, why, ultimately, should we resist the temptation of adultery and sexual immorality?

Pray and Apply:

Reflect on how you have been viewing sex, as well as your thoughts and actions regarding it. Is this something that carries shame before God? Is there an area of your thoughts or actions that you would rather stay hidden from God? Has sex in some ways caused you pain in the past, regret, or shame? Talk openly to God, inviting Him to bring healing and hope to replace pain. Ask for forgiveness and help where you need it most. Ask God to give you a revelation of how good His ways are, how He makes all things new in your life and how He has His very best in store for you as you trust Him and commit your sexuality to Him.
