GOD: the Real Manager of Your Life
There’s a truth that brings deep peace when it finally settles in your heart: you are not the manager of your life — God is. You may plan, dream, and make choices, but only God determines how it all unfolds.
He declares, “I am God, and there is none like Me… My counsel shall stand.” That means before you ever began the journey, God already saw the end. He knows where the road bends, where the pain will press, and where the breakthrough will burst forth. Nothing surprises Him.
When you think about control, you realize how little of it you actually have. You can control your decisions, but not their outcomes. You can choose what to plant, but only God makes it grow. You can show up faithfully to work, but only God opens the doors that truly lift you.
This truth isn’t meant to make you passive — it’s meant to make you peaceful. When you know God manages your life, you can rest even when things don’t go your way. You can say, “Lord, I don’t understand this season, but I trust the One who’s steering the ship.”
Sometimes we resist His control because it threatens our illusion of power. But freedom begins where surrender starts. The moment you let go and allow God to be God, you begin to experience His order in your chaos.
If He’s the one declaring the end from the beginning, then you can stop worrying about how it will end — it will end well.
Reflection
What part of your life are you trying to control on your own?
What would it look like to surrender that area completely to God today?
Prayer
Lord, I release my grip on the things I can’t control. I trust that You are managing every detail of my life. Lead me, guide me, and let Your counsel stand over me. Amen.
