When Your Soul Is Tired: A Devotional for Spiritual Rest + Emotional Renewal”ਨਮੂਨਾ

Rest as Worship
Worship is so much more than a song.
Songs express worship, but they are not the fullness of it.
C. S. Lewis wrote that worship is about directing our attention toward God — seeing Him as He truly is and responding with love, awe, and surrender. Worship changes us because it reorders our hearts around what (and Who) matters most.
Rest is not merely the absence of activity — it is the presence of God.
When you slow your pace, you create room for Him, when you breathe deeply, you make space for His peace. When you stop striving, you let God be God.
Rest becomes worship when you treat it as an offering............
“Lord, I choose rest because I trust You.”
Some worship looks like singing or serving, but in essence, rest is worship on a higher level. This is because you have taken a posture of laying down the burden and letting Him carry you. Rest is not weakness — it is faith. But it can also look like silence, stillness, slowness — the kind of rest that says, “I trust You more than my own effort.”
Rest is not laziness.
Rest is not weakness.
Rest is faith — a lived confession that God is the One who sustains you.
Reflection
In what ways can rest become a spiritual practice for you?
Prayer
Father, may my rest honour You. Teach me to worship through stillness.
Daily DARE
Turn one ordinary moment today into worship — breathing, slowing, or simply being still.
