Day One: JESUS

Have you ever found yourself waiting?

The kind where you don’t really know what’s next or how long it’s going to take. The kind where you’re unsure of what to think about what’s been or what’s ahead. That’s where the disciples were the night Jesus told them the Spirit was coming. They didn’t fully understand what that all meant. All they knew was that He was going away, but was sending the Spirit and they would have to wait.

I think a lot of life happens in those spaces: in between what was and what’s next. You’re holding on to what Jesus said, trying to believe it, but often there’s nothing really moving yet.

In those times, waiting can start to feel like silence. But it isn’t. Jesus promised that His Spirit would come, and that He would never leave or forsake us.

If you’re living in the middle of the in-between—in the middle of what was and what is to come of your life—and you’re unsure of which way is up… despite whatever season you may be in, we can turn to the only One who can bring us hope, joy, peace, and truth in the midst of it.

“No other name can awaken the lifeless,
No other name has conquered the grave.”

Those words are a reminder that nothing is ever wasted. The same Jesus who conquered the grave is still moving in unseen ways. When we sing His name, we remember to trust that all Jesus said, He will actually do.

So if you find yourself in an interlude, don’t rush it. Let these seasons turn into worship. Let them draw your heart closer to His. He’s already closer than you think.

Prayer:
Jesus, thank You for being near even when I can’t see what’s next. Teach me to wait with hope. Fill me with Your Spirit while I’m in the middle of things. I trust You in the in-between. Amen.
