When a person puts their faith in Jesus Christ to be their Savior, a part of God called the Holy Spirit comes and lives inside of them from that point forward. One of the roles the Holy Spirit has in our lives is to help us understand what Scripture says. Without the Holy Spirit, a person cannot fully understand Scripture. The Holy Spirit supernaturally connects God’s Word to our lives in a real and practical way. This connection results in our being able to understand the Bible and how it applies to our lives.
