What's My Life's Purpose

DAY 3 OF 3

Restored to Purpose Through Christ (The Last Adam)

The first Adam died with his bride after the fall. Their spiritual death separated them from fellowship with God. But the last Adam—Jesus Christ—died for His bride, the Church. His death reconciled humanity back to God. Through His death and resurrection, He restored what was lost: our relationship with God and our true identity.

In Christ, you are not trying to find purpose—you are reconnected to it. Purpose now flows from relationship, not performance.

Jesus didn’t come to make you a better version of yourself. He came to bring you back to your original design—God’s image restored. Through Him, you are chosen, forgiven, and empowered to live a life that reflects heaven on earth.

In a world filled with identity confusion and shifting definitions of truth, Jesus anchors us in what’s eternal. While the world says, “Define yourself,” Christ says, “Come to Me and I will show you who you are.” That’s real freedom.

This means you no longer need to chase identity through titles, achievements, or applause. You can now live from identity, not for it. When you live from who you are in Christ, purpose becomes clear, fruitful, and eternal.

So today, instead of asking, “What should I do with my life?”, ask, “Who am I becoming in Christ?” Because when you know who you are, you’ll know what to do.

Scripture:

“For as in Adam all die, so in Christ all will be made alive.”

— 1 Corinthians 15:22 (NIV)

Prayer:
Jesus, thank You for restoring me to my original purpose in You. I choose to live from my identity as a child of God, not from what I do or what others think. Help me reflect Your image in everything I do. Amen.

Reflection:
Take a few minutes to thank God for who He says you are. Write down three truths about your identity in Christ—and let those truths define your purpose today.
