The Road Home: Reflections of a Prodigalਨਮੂਨਾ

In contrast to the 3 parables from Luke, in this passage, a person is searching for the Kingdom (that person could be us or someone we know).
How has finding the treasure of the Kingdom for yourself brought joy?
As you think back through our readings about repenting, returning, and rejoicing, which of these seems most important to you in this season of life?
The prodigal son returns home with eyes downcast, only to find his father running and rejoicing. We were told earlier that God is rejoicing over us with singing. We can return home knowing we are welcomed back.
Sit quietly and ask the Spirit to reveal your path back to the Father.

About this Plan

Jesus tells the parable of the Prodigal Son to a crowd of tax collectors and sinners, the unsavory people of that time. The Pharisees stand by in judgment. As we read together, we will explore the themes of repentance, returning, and rejoicing. Hopefully, we will be challenged and encouraged as we reflect on our own seasons and events that draw us back towards the Father – only to find Him running towards us!
