The Pursuit - 12 Weeksਨਮੂਨਾ

John 4 tells the story of Jesus meeting a Samaritan woman at a well. On the surface, it looks like an ordinary conversation about water. But soon it becomes clear: Jesus is offering her something far greater — “living water” that will satisfy her deepest thirst.
This woman had tried to fill her emptiness with relationships, and it hadn’t worked. She’d been married five times and was now with someone else. She probably carried shame, rejection, and loneliness. Yet Jesus didn’t avoid her. He sought her out, engaged her in conversation, and offered her grace.
Her response is remarkable. She leaves her water jar behind and runs to tell her whole town: “Come and see a man who told me everything I ever did! Could he possibly be the Messiah?” She becomes one of the first evangelists, and many in her town believe in Jesus because of her testimony.
This story reminds us that responding to Jesus doesn’t require perfect knowledge or a spotless past. It simply takes an open heart. Jesus meets us where we are, exposes the emptiness of our pursuits, and invites us to find life in Him.
Reflection:
What “wells” do you keep returning to in hopes of satisfaction?
