21 Days After City Weekਨਮੂਨਾ

The Sound of Obedience
Chloe Laird
City Week is loud—it’s fueled by fire. The hunger for the Lord is evident in every step, every conversation, and every room. You’re surrounded by worship, laughter, purpose, and people who are just as desperate for God as you are. But what happens when you get home and the “noise” starts to quiet down? You’re no longer having worship services day and night. You’re not walking down the street looking for who you can pray for, and the routine starts to settle back in. But listen—just because the volume lowers doesn’t mean the encounter ends. You don’t have to return to your schedule feeling discouraged by the silence. In fact, silence isn’t the absence of God—it’s the invitation to hear Him in a new way. One of the biggest ways you can carry the sound is through obedience. There is power—even noise—in your “yes.” Obedience is louder than hype. It’s deeper than a moment. And sometimes, the loudest “yes” to God is the one that no one else hears.
Carrying the sound looks like following the voice of Jesus, even when it’s uncomfortable. It’s choosing love over pride. It’s faithfulness over feeling. It means showing up, even when it’s hard. It means worshipping in your room when no one’s watching, and living out what you experienced at City Week long after the week is over. It’s saying “yes” to God in public, but also in private. It’s the little choices that echo louder than we realize. Because your “yes” doesn’t need a stage—it just needs to be real. Because the smallest “yes” still matters. The quiet “yes” still counts. And those kinds of yes-es? They’re what keep the fire burning long after the moment has passed.
Question for Today:
Is there a “yes” you need to give God in private that no one else will see?
Worship Song for Today:
Song Title: Make Room
Artist: Community Music
Pray This:
Lord, thank You for stretching me over City Week. Thank You for all You have done and will do. Teach me to carry the sound by obeying You everyday, even when it feels uncomfortable, so that the fire built from City Week doesn’t get left behind.
Try This:
Take time to pray and ask God where your “yes” belongs. It could be as simple as saying sorry, or just spending extra time with Him.
