Peace Over Pressureਨਮੂਨਾ

You feel everything.
The tension in the room, the silent disappointment, the child’s sadness, the friend’s hurt, the undone list, the weight of the world. And because you’re capable, people often don’t realize how much is churning beneath the surface.
So, if you’re someone who feels it all, well, this day is for you.
I see you. You’re the one who notices the unspoken. Who carries the weight for everyone. Who gets overwhelmed not by your schedule, but by your sensitivity.
Listen, you are not weak. You’re wired for empathy. But you were never meant to carry it alone.
Sis, just because you’re empathetic doesn’t mean you’re meant to absorb it all. You don’t have to be the rock. God is. In Psalm 40, there’s an effective visual of God pulling us out of a slimy pit and putting our feet upon a solid rock. I’ve been in that pit before and it was like an emotional quicksand—the more I struggled, the deeper I sank. When we surrender, we’ll find the Lord is right there to rescue us from the unsteady and even overwhelming places.
Psalm 61:2 is for women like us. Ones whose hearts feel faint because the weight is real. But we don’t have to carry it all. We get to be led to the Rock that is higher, stronger, safer, more stable than we are.
And Romans 8 brings such peace: even when we can’t untangle what we’re feeling, the Spirit intercedes. He knows. He carries. He speaks when we can’t.
So, you don’t have to fix your feelings. You just have to bring them to the One who understands them all. Let the tears come if they need to. Let the pressure drop. Let God be your steady place.
Prayer:
Lord, I’m overwhelmed. Not just by what I do, but by what I feel. I give You my sensitivity, my sorrow, my joy, and my fatigue. Lead me to the Rock that is higher than I am. I don’t have to carry this alone.
Grounding Practice:
Release Through Breath or Tears
- Sit in silence for two minutes. Let your shoulders drop. Let your eyes well up if needed.
- Breathe deeply. Whisper: “God, I feel the emotions of others so deeply, and it all feels too much sometimes. I feel like I'm not enough! But You Lord, are enough.”
