Make Praise Important In Your Days!

When God created man, among the body parts, He designed arms, hands, and fingers. Wow, do they come in handy! They go to work for us, put food in our mouths, wipe our eyes when tired or sad, style our hair, hug others, and so much more.

Have you ever realized that another reason for our body parts is to give glory to God?

· “Thus I will bless You while I live; I will lift up my hands in Your name.” Psalm 63:4 NKJV

· “Lift up your hands in the sanctuary, and bless the Lord.” Psalm 134:2 NKJV

· “Let us lift our hearts and hands to God in heaven.” Lamentations 3:41 NKJV

· “Hear the voice of my supplications when I cry to You, when I lift up my hands toward Your holy sanctuary.” Psalm 28:2 NKJV

· Then all the people answered, “Amen, Amen!” while lifting up their hands. And they bowed their heads and worshiped the Lord with their faces to the ground. Nehemiah 8:6 NKJV

· “I desire therefore that the men pray everywhere, lifting up holy hands, without wrath and doubting.” 1 Timothy 2:8 NKJV

There is no doubt that God wants us to praise Him with our hands.

· “Oh, clap your hands, all you peoples! Shout to God with the voice of triumph! ”Psalm 47:1 NKJV

On this boot camp journey through life on Earth, bringing praise with your body will bring you great joy and peace. We have no problem standing and shouting, clapping our hands at a ball game. How much more should we be vocal and raise our hands toward heaven to praise the Lord of Lords, and the King of Kings!

Throughout the Old Testament, God frequently reminded His people of how He had brought them out of captivity and offered them a promise of hope in the Promised Land. The day our sins were forgiven, God also delivered us from its captivity, through Jesus, who gives us the hope of being in that promised land of heaven!

”Oh that men would praise the Lord for his goodness, and for his wonderful works to the children of men!” Psalm 107:31 NKJV

Prayer: Father, we stop now and lift our hands toward heaven, honoring You with thanksgiving, for You are so worthy of our praise. In Jesus’ Name. Amen.
