30 Days of Praying for Children and Familiesਨਮੂਨਾ

The Bible doesn’t just include songs to sing from the mountaintops. It also includes prayers to pray, broken-hearted, from the depths.
Here, Daniel confesses to the Lord.
Do you notice how he speaks on behalf of his people, “We have sinned and done wrong,”“we have been wicked”, “we have turned away from your commands.” (NIV)
Perhaps reading about God’s justice and righteousness this month has brought a realisation of how far short we fall of his calling. The ways we haven’t loved mercy in our own lives, and the ways our society overlooks the marginalised.
Say sorry to God for where we have personally and collectively turned away from his commands and neglected to do what is good, do justice, and love kindness.
Prayer
God of righteousness,
We have fallen so short of your commands to love you and love those around us.
We’re truly sorry for the ways we have neglected to do what is right. We lament the ways our society walks away from you and fails to care for the widows, the orphans, and the foreigners.
Lord, forgive our sins and our disobedience. Help us to walk in step with your spirit.
