Devotions on F.I.R.E. Year Twoਨਮੂਨਾ

You also, as living stones, are being built up a spiritual house, a holy priesthood (1 Peter 2:5 NKJV).
Are you purifying your life as God’s priest?
In the tapestry of faith, we are described as a royal priesthood (1 Peter 2:9). Yet, navigating through the morally challenging landscapes of our world, we find ourselves contaminated, yearning for the cleansing touch of God's forgiveness. Picture the laver of bronze in the ancient narrative, created for priests to wash before ministering. Moses' admonition echoes through time: "So they shall wash their hands and their feet, lest they die" (Exodus 30:21 NKJV). This symbolic act underscores the timeless need for a cleansed priesthood, a spiritual purity to stand before the divine. The divine directive resonates: "Be holy, for I am holy" (1 Peter 1:16 NKJV).
A simple yet profound bumper sticker states: "Christians aren’t perfect, just forgiven." Even the Apostle Paul, in the twilight of his life, humbly acknowledged himself as the foremost of sinners (1 Timothy 1:15). This acknowledgment of imperfection is a shared experience among God's priests. John's words echo a universal truth: "If we confess our sins, He is faithful and just to forgive us our sins and to cleanse us from all unrighteousness" (1 John 1:9 NKJV). So, as we traverse the sacred path, let's strive to be a holy priesthood.
Employment Point: Confess your sins regularly to be an effective priest.
