Devotions on F.I.R.E. Year Twoਨਮੂਨਾ

Even as Christ forgave you, so you also must do (Colossians 3:13 NKJV).
How well do you forgive others?
We are commanded in the scripture to forgive one another even as God, for Christ's sake, has forgiven us. Think about Joseph for just a moment; he had suffered much. His brothers betrayed him, had sold him into slavery (originally, they were planning on killing him), and when Joseph was in the position to retaliate, he never did (Genesis 45:5-8). Joseph forgave them, and we, as people that have been forgiven our past, present, and future sin, also need to have a forgiving heart.
Paul says, “And be kind to one another, tenderhearted, forgiving one another, even as God in Christ forgave you” (Ephesians 4:32 NKJV).
Employment Point: Forgive as you’ve been forgiven.

About this Plan

Devotions on F.I.R.E. journeys through the Bible in one year. Each day includes a devotion based on Dr. Burge’s F.I.R.E. method of Bible Study. F.I.R.E. stands for Familiarity, Interpretation, Relationship, and Employment. The F.I.R.E. method and the daily devotions help readers remember and apply what they read as they fuel the fire in their hearts for God’s Word—adapted from the book Devotions on F.I.R.E. Year Two, by Dr. Ken J. Burge, Sr.
