A 6-Day Poetic Devotional Celebrating God's Nature and Beautyਨਮੂਨਾ

The Tiller's Hand
Are you open to the Tiller's hand on your life?
The tilling of a garden takes a lot of work and often we find things in the dirt we didn’t see at the surface….old roots, stones, a nest of ants. Tilling the soil not only surfaces things that don’t belong, but it also creates space for air to flow…for life.
Sometimes I need my heart tilled since I tend to speak without thinking about how my words will come across. I’m so focused on me that I forget about how you might be receiving my all-important idea or truth.
This is especially challenging during these politically charged times. We can have the most powerful truth in the world, but if a heart is not tilled by love, truth will usually land with a thud, back-fire or blow-up. I suspect you and I both need our hearts tilled, so that seeds of truth can settle in and bear fruit.
The Tiller’s Hand
Love is the tiller the works to soil
To make it soft as sand
It makes a place for seed to fall
Gods’ wonder and His plan
~
When nothing tills the heart of man
And truth is launched ahead
Oh truth it may be true for sure
But changes little ever said
~
Without the love of Farmers’ till
Without His true soft hands
The truth then skips upon a rock
No victory where it lands
~
But when a word of truth goes out
In love from one nearby
The truth it slips between the soil
And listeners’ hearts come nigh
Questions to contemplate
Are you open to being more loving in sharing your perspective or a truth?
Do you sometimes speak without caring what others think or feel?
What would it look like for God to intersect your need to be right?
