Thirty Days of Victoryਨਮੂਨਾ

Our faith in God is a weapon God uses to defeat the evil in our world! Isn't that crazy?! John begins these verses laying out who is a child of God. Our identity as children of God is shown in our love for God and others, and our obedience to him, which is a direct result of love. When we put our faith in God, we engage in battle with him against evil. The best part is that we are on the winning side!
Anyone who has been on a dominant sports team or a team that is favored, whether in high school, college, or professionally, knows how amazing it is to have the belief and expectation of victory. If you haven't been on a team yourself, I'm sure you have cheered for a team that has had a winning advantage or expectation. When we believe in God and put our faith in him, we join the winning team! In these verses, John says that we are victorious over evil with God on our side. God's side is the favorite to win, and the victory has already been called!
