Thirty Days of Victory

DAY 20 OF 30

God is fighting our battles and is the source of victory over our enemies. Most scholars believe that David wrote this psalm while he was fleeing from Saul. David spent many years after being anointed king by Samuel fleeing from Saul, whom he had helped gain victory over Israel's enemies as a mighty warrior. David's circumstances were extremely unfair, yet he turned to God for help. While voicing his frustrations, he acknowledged God's power and sovereignty. He knew that victory over all things comes from God, and he trusted him in his battles.

What circumstances are unfair in your life? Are you facing undue hardship, broken relationships, or health problems that are no fault of your own? Instead of bemoaning your situations, turn to God in prayer. Give him your battles, and wait for his victory.
