Devotional:

Love is like a big hug. It’s the first fruit of the Spirit and the foundation of all others. Have you ever had someone do something kind for you just because they care?

Maybe a friend shared their snack, or your parent gave you a big hug after a hard day. Because God loved us first, we can love others deeply, kindly and unselfishly.

Jesus showed us the greatest example of love on the cross. He loves us no matter what. And when we stay close to Him, His love grows in us, like on a tree. It’s about how we treat others – putting them first, being kind, helping them and caring even when it’s hard.

That’s love!

How can you show love to someone today? Write a kind note, share a toy, or pray for someone who is sad.

Prayer:

Dear Jesus, thank you for loving me so much. Please help to love others the way you love me -- with kindness and a caring, sharing heart.
