A long time ago, when people built big buildings, they started with something called a cornerstone. It was a big, strong rock that was placed in the corner first, to show the builders where all the other stones should go. It had to be just right because the whole building depended on it!

The Bible says that Jesus is like a cornerstone. He’s the most important part of God’s church–the family of people who follow him. Just like the cornerstone guided the building, Jesus shows us how to live and love. He helps us stay strong and follow the right path. Everything we do as his followers is built around him.
