Faith Over Fearਨਮੂਨਾ

On Christmas Day, we celebrate the birth of Jesus. Not only as a baby in a manger, but as the Saviour who brings peace to a fearful world. Long before the Cross or the empty tomb, peace came wrapped in swaddling clothes and laid in a humble place. Jesus, the Prince of Peace, came near.

Years later, he would say to his disciples, ‘Peace I leave with you; my peace I give you. I do not give to you as the world gives. Do not let your hearts be troubled and do not be afraid’ (John 14:27 NIV).

The peace Jesus offers is unlike anything the world can give. It isn’t dependent on calm circumstances or clear answers. It’s a deep, settled trust that God is with us, right here, right now.

Christmas doesn’t erase all fear, but it does remind us of where we can place our trust. The message that began with ‘Do not be afraid’ is still the message that God chooses to give to me today. I don’t walk alone. God has come near. Emmanuel, God with us, is still true today.

Choosing faith over fear means welcoming that peace into our hearts. It means trusting that Jesus is present in both joy and struggle, and letting his peace shape how we live, how we hope and how we respond to the world around us.
