30 Day Devotional Journey - Anchored in Hopeਨਮੂਨਾ

A hope that remains
The world can be a little crazy and scary sometimes. Whether it’s chaos that’s directly affecting our personal lives, or chaos on the other side of the world, it’s easy to feel discouraged at life. In moments of distress and uncertainty, the enemy likes to scream in our ears that all hope is lost. He tries to convince us that we’re abandoned and adrift at sea with no hope in sight.
But with Jesus, this is simply not true.
Jesus is the giver of life and hope. He is hope. And we know this to be true because He conquered the one thing that no one has ever been able to conquer: death. When Jesus rose from the grave on the third day, He birthed a beautiful flame of hope that cannot be extinguished. He defeated death and made a way for us to have eternal life with God. He made a way for us to be in eternal communion with our Creator.
What does this have to do with hope? Everything. When we know that death has no hold over us and that our Savior made a way for eternal life, we have hope to carry us through the storm. His resurrection gives us hope that this life is temporary, but He is eternal. We can access a heavenly hope that reminds us that God is still sovereign and powerful and nothing on earth can separate us from Him. And that is a hope that we can be confident in.
