Bible Case Files, English Part 1ਨਮੂਨਾ

The Case of the Disastrous Weather, Case Closed
Jesus often amazed His disciples—not just with what He could do, but with what those moments taught them. One day, He suggested they cross the lake together. They set off, but soon the sky darkened and the wind picked up. The waves grew so high they crashed over the sides, threatening to swamp the boat. While the disciples fought the storm, Jesus was in the back, fast asleep.
At last, they couldn’t take it anymore. They woke Him, terrified, certain they were moments from disaster. Jesus stood, faced the chaos, and with calm authority commanded the wind and water to settle down. Immediately, the lake was still. Then He turned to His disciples and challenged them about their fear and their faith.
It’s a challenge that still speaks to us. Faith isn’t just a quiet belief tucked away—it’s an active trust that holds steady even when life is overwhelming. It’s confidence that He has the authority to bring peace into our stormiest moments.
Faith also pushes fear out of the driver’s seat. The disciples looked at the storm and assumed the worst, but storms—no matter how fierce—are no match for the One who controls them. If He is with us, there is no reason for fear to take over.
And those storms? They are not just obstacles—they can be opportunities. Every difficult season can become a moment to see God work in ways we never imagined, to experience His provision, and to grow in spiritual maturity. Without the storm, the disciples might not have fully grasped His power over creation. Without our storms, we might miss His personal care in our lives.
The disciples were in training to lead the most powerful movement the world would ever know—the Church. We are part of that same mission. And just like them, we need the kind of faith that keeps us moving forward, even in the wind and waves, until we reach the other side.
The Case of the Altered Health
In the bustling heart of Jerusalem, where the temple towered over the city in majestic splendor, a quiet mystery began to take shape. In the dust nearby, fresh footprints told a curious tale: a group heading in one direction, their stride steady and determined—while a single set broke away, veering sharply onto a different path. Was it an act of defiance, a change of heart, or something far deeper? Any ideas which moment in Scripture this might be? Tomorrow, we’ll open the pages and see.
