Prayer & Peace: A 3-Day Devotionalਨਮੂਨਾ

Day 2: Peace That Calms the Mind
Isaiah’s phrase "perfect peace" in Isaiah 26:3 is literally shalom shalom—peace doubled for emphasis. This isn’t surface calm but covenant security. God doesn’t merely offer peace; He keeps us in it. The condition is not circumstance but focus: a mind “stayed” (sāmūkh) on God—leaning, resting, trusting. Anxiety multiplies when we stare at storms. Peace multiplies when we stay fixed on Him. Peter’s eyes on Jesus allowed him to stand on unsettled waters, but when he shifted to the winds and waves, he sank. Keep your eyes on the hill where your help comes from.
Reflection:
What distractions pull your mind away from trust? How could you intentionally “stay” your thoughts on God this week?
About this Plan

Prayer is more than words—it’s the relationship-building pathway to God. Peace is more than calm feelings—it’s the settled reality of God’s presence guarding our hearts. In Scripture, prayer and peace are inseparable: when we pray, God hears, and His peace steadies us beyond circumstances. Over three days, we’ll explore how prayer anchors us, how peace guards us, and how both are gifts God freely gives to His children.
