For Such a Time as This - Kidsਨਮੂਨਾ

Day 1: God Has a Plan for You
“...for just such a time as this?” — Esther 4:14 (NLT)
The Amazing Story of Queen Esther
Once upon a time, in a kingdom far, far away, there was a young Jewish girl named Esther. She was just an ordinary girl who lived with her cousin Mordecai. Esther probably helped with chores at home, played with friends, and had no idea that God had a HUGE PLAN for her life!
One day, the king decided he needed a new queen. Can you imagine? Out of ALL the young women in the kingdom, guess whom God chose? Esther! She became Queen Esther, and she didn’t even know why yet.
But here’s where the story gets exciting! Esther’s people, the Jews, were in great danger. A wicked man named Haman wanted to destroy them. When Mordecai told Queen Esther about this, he said something very important:
“Who knows but that you have come to your royal position for such a time as this?”
That means God put Esther in the right place at the right time to save her people. And that’s exactly what happened, because Esther was brave and trusted God. Through Esther, the Lord saved all the Jewish people in the kingdom.
God had a plan for Esther from the very beginning, and she didn’t even know it!
What This Means for You?
Just like Esther, God also has an amazing plan for YOUR life! You might think you’re just an ordinary kid who goes to school and church, plays with friends, and helps at home. But God sees something special in you!
Here are some ways God might be preparing YOU “for such a time as this”:
- At School: Maybe God put you in your class so you can be kind to the student who feels alone, or help a friend who’s struggling with their grades.
- At Home: Maybe God wants you to be the one who brings joy to your family on hard days or helps take care of a younger sibling.
- With Friends: Maybe God placed you in your friend group to show His love, stand up for what’s right, or invite someone to church.
- In the Neighborhood: Maybe God wants you to be the kid who waves to the elderly neighbor, helps pick up trash on the street, or shares God’s love with others.
You don’t have to wait until you grow up! God has a plan for you NOW, right where you are!
Let’s Pray Together!
Dear God,
Thank You for the story of Queen Esther! Help me remember that You also have a special plan for my life.
Even in everyday moments, like going to school or playing with friends, You may be preparing me for something important.
Make me brave like Esther to do what is right and to be kind wherever You place me. Thank You that I don’t have to be perfect for You to use me.
Thank You for loving me and for having a wonderful plan for my life!
In Jesus’ name, Amen.
Think About It!
Esther had to be brave to save her people. Can you remember a moment when you might need to be brave to do what’s right, like standing up for someone who’s being teased, telling the truth, or helping someone in need?
Remember This Week…
Every morning when you wake up, remember: God has put you exactly where you are “for such a time as this!” Whether you’re eating breakfast at home, heading to school, or playing at recess, God may have something special planned for you. Keep your eyes open and your heart ready!
