Battles in the Bible

You’ve probably heard the story of David and Goliath before. It’s a classic! However, even though he was incredibly brave and obedient, David wasn’t the hero of his story. His victory came from God and God alone. The battles we go through in life are so much more than ways to “see what we’re made of.” They are chances to see what God can do when we trust Him. Like David, we can be confident because we know our victories come from God's strength, not our own.

Prayer:

“God, there are challenges in my life that are too big for me to face on my own. But I know that You are the same today as You’ve always been. You’ve given me the win before, and I trust that You will do it again. Please help my faith to be greater than my fear today. In Jesus’ name. Amen.”
