Three Years in 30 Days: Jesus' Life and Missionਨਮੂਨਾ

Jesus’ power over the forces of evil
“And they were all amazed, so that they questioned among themselves, saying, ‘What is this? A new teaching with authority! He commands even the unclean spirits, and they obey Him.’” (Mark 1:27 ESV)
The gospel of Mark pays much attention to Jesus’ miracles. They are described as demonstrations of Jesus’ power over disease, over nature and over the forces of evil.
Right at the beginning of Jesus' public ministry, He was severely tested by Satan. After all, Satan is God's great adversary, who wants nothing more than to thwart God's plans! But Jesus did not give in. He did not succumb to His enemy. He was stronger than Satan and his demons.
This became publicly visible when Jesus was approached by a man with an unclean spirit. This spirit or demon cried out, “What have you to do with us, Jesus of Nazareth? Have you come to destroy us? I know who you are—the Holy One of God.” (Mark 1:24 ESV) Jesus' answer was short but powerful: “Be silent, and come out of him!” The unclean spirit had no choice but to obey Him.
And it did not remain at this one incident. When the news spread, many more people who were possessed by demons were brought to Jesus. He set them all free.
The Bible takes the existence of evil spirits and demons very seriously.
