Day 19: Belonging to the Body
God never saves us just for ourselves. He saved Israel as a people, not just as individuals. In the same way, Jesus died to create a new community, the Church. We belong to the Body of Christ, not as isolated believers but as members of one another.
When we drift from parish to parish, or when we avoid committing to a specific community, we miss God’s design. His vision is not for us to check boxes but to build vibrant parishes, communities where faith is lived, shared, and nurtured.
Belonging matters. Joining a parish or small group roots us in relationships that sustain us through joy and hardship. In those spaces, we grow, we give, and we receive. God uses community to shape us into disciples.
Questions
- Do you see yourself as a member of the Body of Christ or as an independent believer?
- What does belonging to a specific parish or group look like for you right now?

About this Plan

Rebuilt Faith will help you take daily steps to grow as a disciple of Christ. Inspired by the book by Fr. Michael White and Tom Corcoran, this plan invites you to reflect on who Jesus is and why He is worth following. Through the STEPS of discipleship—Serve, Tithe and Give, Engage, Practice, and Share—you’ll discover practical ways to live your faith: serving others, trusting God’s provision, building authentic community, deepening prayer, and sharing the Gospel. Each devotional is designed to draw you closer to Christ and inspire you to take your next step in faith.
