Praying through scripture
Today, we’re going to join with saints across the globe and across time and pray through some of the Bible’s prayers. Ask the Spirit to intersperse these passages with His insight, leading and wisdom for your day ahead.
‘You, God, are my God, earnestly I seek you; I thirst for you, my whole being longs for you, in a dry and parched land where there is no water’ (Psalm 63:1).
‘We do not know what to do, but our eyes are on you’ (2 Chronicles 20:12b).
The Lord’s Prayer in Matthew 6:9–13.
‘Oh, the depth of the riches of the wisdom and knowledge of God! How unsearchable his judgments, and his paths beyond tracing out! Who has known the mind of the Lord? Or who has been his counselor?’ ‘Who has ever given to God, that God should repay them?’ For from him and through him and for him are all things. To him be the glory forever! Amen’ (Romans 11:33–36).
‘He who testifies to these things says, “Yes, I am coming soon.” Amen. Come, Lord Jesus’ (Revelation 22:20).
Have a blessed day today and be a blessing to others.
