When the Fire Goes Out – Rekindling Your Fire When You Experience Spiritual Burnoutਨਮੂਨਾ

Day 2 – When Weariness Becomes Normal
Scripture:
“Come to me, all you who are weary and burdened, and I will give you rest.”
— Matthew 11:28
Devotional Thought:
Sometimes burnout doesn’t look like quitting—it looks like functioning on empty. You keep showing up, doing what’s expected, carrying the weight of responsibilities, but deep inside, you’re tired. You smile on the outside but your soul feels worn down. This kind of weariness can creep in until exhaustion feels normal.
But Jesus never meant for weariness to be your way of life. He invites you to come to Him—not to work harder, not to strive more, but to rest. Real rest isn’t found in sleeping longer or escaping your schedule. True rest is found in the presence of Jesus, where you can drop the burdens you were never meant to carry.
If you’ve been pushing through and pretending to be fine, hear His voice today: “Come to Me.” He’s not asking for your strength—He’s offering you His.
Prayer:
Jesus, I am weary and burdened. I lay down my struggles, exhaustion, and the pressure to keep it all together. Teach me how to rest in You and to receive Your peace for my soul. Amen.
Reflection/Action Step:
Set aside 10 minutes today to sit quietly with Jesus. Don’t bring an agenda. Don’t ask for anything. Just sit, breathe, and allow His presence to calm and refresh you.
