Rain Devotional: A 3-Day Journey of Restoration, Revival, and Redirectionਨਮੂਨਾ

Day 3: Rain of Judgment — When God’s No Protects You
Scripture: “I also withheld the rain from you…Yet you have not returned to me.” — Amos 4:7-8 (KJV)
Devotional Thought:
Sometimes, no rain is a mercy. God may withhold opportunities, relationships, or results—not to punish, but to redirect. In His love, He allows uncomfortable droughts so we don’t settle for shallow soil.
That unanswered prayer may be judgment wrapped in protection. Not all delays are denials, but some dry seasons are God’s way of saying, “Turn back to Me.” Don’t just pray for rain—pray for alignment with the One who controls the clouds.
Have I mistaken God’s silence for absence? Am I ignoring a redirection, or missing the direction, because I want a result or my way?
Prayer:
Lord, thank You for the no’s that protected me. If you’re withholding rain, help me see the why—and return to the Source— YOU! Help me to see what I need to correct. Complete the work that you’ve begun! Order my steps! Help me to remember that your judgment is your chastening and a child with no one to correct them lacks love. Father, I accept your correction. I remind myself, in the name of Jesus, that condemnation doesn’t come from you but conviction does— and it’s because you’d rather me whole than broken. Thank you for being concerned with getting me on the right track. In Jesus’ name, I pray. Amen.
