The Whole Armor of Godਨਮੂਨਾ

Jesus is Our Warrior King and Our Armor
While the spiritual battle is personal, it is also global. Satan has been very busy even before the fall and continues to be incessantly destructive. Everywhere we look, we can see his handiwork…his fingerprints are all over the world, in government, politics, organizations, schools, cities, churches, and family.
- Wars and rumors of wars
- All too frequent natural disasters
- On the streets of the inner city
- In the hospital room of a child born with multiple heart defects
- In the animosity between husband and wife
- In the home of a young family with four children, whose dad has just lost his job due to his company’s poor decisions.
- Last but not least, in the battlefield of our minds
We must be strong in the Lord and in His might. We must equip ourselves with the whole armor of God so that we can stand firm against the schemes of the devil! Paul continues, therefore, "Take up the whole armor of God, that you may be able to withstand in the evil day, and having done all, to stand firm (Eph. 6:13 ESV).
How do we fight this great battle when we feel surrounded, overwhelmed, undone, unable, or overcome? How can we rest assured that we are not alone? The battle is not ours, it is the Lord’s!
Christ is the Warrior King; He is also our armor. He fights with us now. No spiritual protection is greater than our union with Christ! Christ is our perfect impermeable armor. By grace through faith in Christ, we are justified, belted with truth, robed in His righteousness, and crowned with the helmet of salvation. We stand before God, not condemned but accepted in Christ.
Christ is our covenant and warrior King, and He is dressed for battle. We are not alone! Christ is the victor!
Isaiah 11:5 ESV says, "Righteousness shall be the belt of his waist, and faithfulness the belt of his loins." As we read this passage from Isaiah 59 in light of Ephesians, we see a beautiful picture of our union with Christ, our King. And again, in Isaiah 63:1 ESV: “It is I, speaking in righteousness, mighty to save.”
Our salvation has been procured. In our battle against the devil, we can rest in Christ, in His protection, and in His victory. Christ’s victory is our victory.
Jesus is our reigning warrior king!
About this Plan

As believers in Christ, we must not only learn how to walk in Christ, but we must also stand firm in Him! The Lord has given us all the armor we need, but we need help knowing how to use it. This seven-day plan is designed to help us understand the armor God has given us and be equipped to use it.
