What the Bible Says About ... Volume 2ਨਮੂਨਾ

Atoning Sacrifice – 1
This is love: not that we loved God, but that he loved us and sent his Son as an atoning sacrifice for our sins.
But the goat chosen by lot as the scapegoat shall be presented alive before the Lord to be used for making atonement by sending it into the wilderness as a scapegoat. … Since the children have flesh and blood, he too shared in their humanity so that by his death he might break the power of him who holds the power of death—that is, the devil. … For this reason, he had to be made like them, fully human in every way, in order that he might become a merciful and faithful high priest in service to God, and that he might make atonement for the sins of the people.
So Christ was sacrificed once to take away the sins of many; and he will appear a second time, not to bear sin, but to bring salvation to those who are waiting for him.
When we were overwhelmed by sins, you made atonement for our transgressions. … But God demonstrates his own love for us in this: While we were still sinners, Christ died for us.
For if, while we were God’s enemies, we were reconciled to him through the death of his Son, how much more, having been reconciled, shall we be saved through his life!
For Christ also suffered once for sins, the righteous for the unrighteous, to bring you to God.
