Jesus Is…Infinitely Gloriousਨਮੂਨਾ

Day 1 - Jesus is…Holy.
Isaiah 6:1-7 and Psalm 99 (ESV)
Devotional: Jesus is Holy and exalted above all. In Isaiah 6:3 (ESV), Isaiah describes a vision of heaven where seraphim, winged and manlike beings, proclaim, "Holy, holy, holy is the Lord of hosts; the whole earth is full of his glory!" The seraphim are described as winged and manlike, which may sound strange, but understand that this description emphasizes how HOLY God is. Revelation 4:8 (ESV) echoes this as these beings repeatedly cry out, "Holy, Holy, Holy…" 24/7. It is clear that our God is Holy. He is entirely set apart and enthroned on High. How incredible is it that our Holy God longs for a relationship with unholy us! Psalm 99:9 (ESV) reminds us, "Exalt the Lord our God, and worship at his holy mountain; for the Lord our God is holy!" In Jesus, that holy mountain came to us. The Holy One stepped into our unholy world. Although we fall short of perfection, our perfect God forgives. He desires a relationship with each of us! He sees every secret sin, bad thought, and moment, yet in His Holiness, He does not reject us. Through His boundless grace, He offers forgiveness and relationship through the sacrifice of His Holy and perfect Son. Let this truth fill your heart with thanksgiving, not guilt. The Holy One loves you!
Prayer: Jesus, thank You that in Your Holy nature, You still desire a relationship with us! Thank you that Your grace is abundant and endless. Continue to forgive us when we continually fall short of perfection.
