Jesus is a Good Shepherd:

In this story, Jesus paints Himself as the Good Shepherd, willing to go to any length to find a single lost sheep. If one sheep strays away, He doesn’t hesitate to leave the safety of the flock and venture into the wilderness, facing danger just to bring that sheep home.

This is how we were before we met Christ—lost, wandering, and in desperate need of rescue. Just like the Good Shepherd, Jesus stepped into the wilderness of this broken world, willingly facing all the dangers, pain, and suffering that come with it, just to find you. He did this to claim you as His own and to celebrate the fact that you belong to Him, forever. God will go to any lengths to reach you, no matter where you are or what you’re facing. Whether you’re hurting, broken, struggling with anxiety, battling depression, feeling hopeless, or trapped in sleepless nights, God is relentless in His pursuit of you. He will find you, and He will rescue you.

Take a moment to reflect on the saving nature of God. Think about the many ways we need His rescue in our lives. In every moment of weakness, pain, and fear, He is the Good Shepherd, always ready to find and heal His sheep.
