A Slower Lifeਨਮੂਨਾ

Always in a Hurry to Nowhere
Have you ever felt rushed, even though there's no real reason?
Even when there are no actual deadlines, I've sometimes found myself hurrying along as I drive down a road, in a rush to get nowhere in particular. Being a mom has really opened my eyes to this! It feels like my nervous system is always on high alert, thinking we're running late and making us rush everywhere.
I can't help but wonder how many beautiful moments I've missed by not slowing down to truly soak in the present moment. And I know I'm not alone.
We can adopt this behavior so easily, prompted by pressure, false expectations, or simply comparison. We believe we must rush to the next goal, the next child, from dating to marriage, from one position to a higher one.
But rarely do we pause long enough to bask in the answered prayers. We celebrate for a moment, then normalize the blessing and move on, already consumed with what’s next.
Journaling Prompt
Celebrate the Pause. How did it feel when God answered your prayer for this blessing? How does it feel now? Has your focus dwindled? Ask God to recenter you, here.

About this Plan

In today’s fast-paced world, it’s easy to feel behind if we’re not constantly moving. We’re pressured to meet milestones quickly, whether it is via our career choices, relationships, or purpose. We also continuously believe we are behind, which causes us to build fast and desire immediate results. But what if God invites us to a slower, more intentional pace? A Slower Life is a seven-day journey that helps us to pause, reflect, and walk with God at His pace.
