Devotional for New Believersਨਮੂਨਾ

PRINCIPLE: KEY AREAS THAT HELP US FOLLOW JESUS - THE LOCAL CHURCH (FELLOWSHIP WITH CHRISTIANS)
In the original language of the New Testament, the English word "church" comes from the Greek word ekklesia which literally means "the called out ones."
In other words, the church is a group of people who have been called out of the world to follow one Master (Jesus), preach one message (the Gospel) and live out one mission (to reach the lost).
The Church is not just a place we go to hear a message, the church is a group of people with a message on the move.
Salvation - > Our relationship with Jesus
Separation - > Our relationship with the world
Incorporation - > Our relationship with the local church
APPLICATION:
What do these passages teach us about the importance of community?
What are some ways that the people in the first church in the Book of Acts related to each other?
NEXT STEPS:
- Build relationships with people in your Connect Group (or Bible study)
- Look into what it looks like to become a member at your local church
- Pray
- Set a time to meet for Day 6
DIVE DEEPER:
Watch this Sunday message where Pastor Brian shares about how and why we need the local church.
