The Lighthouse in the Fogਨਮੂਨਾ

Don’t Hide in the Fog
“Jesus said, ‘For judgment I have come into this world, so that the blind will see and those who see will become blind.’” (John 9:39 NIV).
A Real Danger
Even though the lighthouse shines brightly, some people choose to hide in the fog. Some go so deep into the swamp that they never resurface to see the light that could have guided them home.
That’s what happened with some Pharisees in Jesus’ time. They rejected the brilliant light that could save them. When Jesus pointed out their spiritual blindness, they took offense and claimed they could see. Jesus said their condition was even worse:
“Some Pharisees who were with him heard him say this and asked, ‘What? Are we blind too?’ Jesus said, ‘If you were blind, you would not be guilty of sin; but now that you claim you can see, your guilt remains.’” (John 9:40-41 NIV).
Conclusion
If they could see the lighthouse and still rejected its light, their situation was worse than those still lost in the fog (John 1:11-12; Matthew 11:20-24; Luke 19:42-44).
