After a fire broke out in the city, Caesar Nero blamed it on Christians, and initiated an official, and very severe, persecution against them. During this time, countless Christians would be brutally martyred for their faith. Early in this time, Jewish Christians faced a tempting option to escape persecution, but it involved compromise. The unknown author of Hebrews writes a tremendous treatise outlining how Christ is superior to, well… everything!
