I Don’t Like My Kid Right Now: Honest Truths for Tired Christian Parentsਨਮੂਨਾ

I’m Still Called, Even When It’s Hard
You didn’t think it would feel this heavy. You knew parenting wouldn’t be perfect but you didn’t know it would test every ounce of your patience, humility, and faith. You’ve questioned if you’re enough. You’ve wondered if you’re strong enough to keep doing this Kingdom work when you feel anything but “Kingdom strong.”
But here’s what’s true: the struggle doesn’t cancel the calling. The hard days don’t rewrite Heaven’s plans for your family. The tears you cry behind closed doors are not proof you’re failing, they’re proof you care. And that care is fuel for legacy.
You are still chosen. Still anointed. Still hand-picked to parent this child in this season. God knew you’d mess up. He knew you’d fall short. He knew you’d break sometimes. And He still called you anyway.
Keep showing up. Keep sowing seeds of truth and grace. Don’t let the enemy convince you that the hard means you’re disqualified, it means you’re right where you’re meant to be. Heaven sees your secret prayers, your late-night tears, your daily sacrifice. One day you’ll see the harvest. Don’t give up before it grows.
Reflection Questions:
- What part of parenting feels so hard that you’ve wondered if you’re really called to it?
- How does knowing you’re still chosen change the way you see today’s struggles?
- What promise will you hold onto when you feel like giving up?
Prayer:
Father, thank You for calling me, even when it’s messy and I feel unqualified. Strengthen my weary places. Remind me my hard seasons don’t cancel my calling, they deepen it. Help me keep going, one day at a time. Amen.
