You’re Never Alone

If there is one thing that CEOs, entrepreneurs, and leaders have in common, it’s the feeling of isolation and loneliness that is a constant companion for their roles.

You may feel the same way when you work from home and are separated from your coworkers. Video chat and phone calls are no substitute for face-to-face interaction.

Psalm 13 expresses the frustration and hope we all feel at times and the question you’re thinking in your heart:

“How long, O Lord? Will you forget me forever?
How long will you hide your face from me?
How long must I make decisions alone
with sorrow in my heart day after day?
How long will my enemy triumph over me?” – Psalm 13:1-2, GW

1 & 2 Kings and the Psalms show us this: David turned to God for direction in everything.

“Look at me! Answer me, O Lord my God!
Light up my eyes,
or else I will die
and my enemy will say, “I have overpowered him.”
My opponents will rejoice because I have been shaken.”

“Light up my eyes…” When you turn your eyes to our Lord, does it revive you?

“But I trust your mercy.
My heart finds joy in your salvation.
I will sing to the Lord because he has been good to me.”

David was confident in one thing above all others: He trusted God to deliver him.

Ask yourself:

Am I turning to God for direction in every decision I must make to be reliant?
