The Secret Place of Creation

I'll never forget sitting in that marketing mastermind with some of the top minds in internet marketing. There I was, surrounded by strategies and systems, when the Lord whispered something that completely recalibrated my heart: "Matt, I want you to be focused on pulling on my glory, not pulling on the levers of business systems."

That moment changed everything for me. I'd been so focused on the next Instagram hack, the latest sales technique, how to be more profitable—all good things, but I'd forgotten the most important truth: lasting success flows from intimacy with God, not just strategic business actions.

Your studio, your creative space, your quiet corner—these aren't just places to work. They're holy ground where heaven touches earth. When you close that door and meet with your Father in secret, something supernatural happens. The pressure to perform melts away. The anxiety about outcomes dissolves. Instead, there's a beautiful flow that comes from simply being with Him.

I've discovered that 100% of the time, true transformation in our art and business comes from the inside out—from that secret place of relationship with God. The world will always try to get you looking at external things, but God is calling you deeper.

Creative Prayer Exercise: Today, before you begin creating, spend 10 minutes simply sitting in your creative space. Close the door. Turn off distractions. Invite the Holy Spirit to fill the room. Don't rush to pick up your tools. Just be present with Him. Let Him recalibrate your heart from performance to presence.

Prayer: Father, forgive me for the times I've pulled on business levers instead of pulling on Your glory. I dedicate my creative space to You today. Transform it into a secret place where I can meet with You through my art. Help me to remember that outward success flows from inward intimacy with You.
