Hebrews Part 1: Shallow Christianityਨਮੂਨਾ

Hope That Won’t Quit
Hebrews encourages us to think in terms of eternity. In life, everyone has some very rough days. Life has a way of knocking everyone down at some point and knocking most of us out at other points. The key in these toughest moments is not to be short-sighted, reacting out of fear or frustration. Instead, we need to take a deep breath, get some time with God to pray and listen, clear our minds, and keep eternity in sight.
A friend of mine once said we should reverse-engineer life. By that, he meant to start with the end in mind and then work backward from our eternal goal to put our lives together.
If we know that Jesus is returning, we know we will rise from the dead, receive our eternal rewards, and live forever under King Jesus. If you are on Team Jesus, in the end, you are on the winning team and just need to persevere until all is said and done.
The big idea in living for eternity is to remind ourselves continually that what God has planned for us to enjoy with Him forever so far supersedes everything this life and world has to offer. There is simply no comparison.
How can you keep your eyes fixed on eternity and persevere to the end?
