Devotional Title: God is the CEO

In the world of business, there’s always someone at the top, the founder, the CEO, the visionary who sees the big picture. But what if we recognized that the ultimate CEO isn’t sitting in a corner office? He’s seated on the throne of heaven!

Jesus has the biggest brand in history. His name has endured for thousands of years, impacting billions of lives across every nation, generation, and background. It all started with a divine business plan.

Before anything existed, God laid the foundation for systems and order. Day and night, land and sea, seed and harvest. Once the work was complete, He did what every good leader does after building a scalable system: “On the seventh day God had finished his work of creation, so he rested…” Genesis 2:2.

God designed the universe to run on its own. A testament to divine leadership and intentional systems. He doesn’t have to micromanage. He built a structure that could function faithfully, and He rested. Now He calls us to do the same. “There is a special rest still waiting for the people of God… Let us do our best to enter that rest.” Hebrews 4:9-11.

Just like a CEO builds operations and infrastructure, we are called to create systems so our work, families, and ministries can function in wisdom and obedience. When we work from God’s Word, we begin to operate in divine flow. (Hebrews 4:12.)

The Bible is our employee handbook, business strategy, and leadership training guide all in one. It keeps us accountable. It helps us make decisions with integrity, clarity, and purpose. When we fall short or when we’re overwhelmed, our Manager steps in: “This High Priest of ours understands our weaknesses… So let us come boldly to the throne…” Hebrews 4:15-16.

Jesus understands the pressures we face. He’s not just a distant authority; He’s the loving leader who gets His hands dirty in the trenches with us. He leads by example and advocates for us. He shows us grace when we fail. He gives us strength when we fall behind.

God is the CEO of all things. Jesus is the Manager who mentors us. The Holy Spirit is the internal voice guiding our day-to-day decisions. We don’t work alone. Proverbs 16:3 says, “Commit your work to the Lord, and your plans will be established.”

So ask yourself today: Are you building your business, your family, and your life under the leadership of the ultimate CEO? Are you working to build "your own" kingdom or to build His?

Because when God is in charge, your legacy is eternal.
